The energy value range in a broiler starter diet typically falls between 2,900 to 3,100 kcal/kg of metabolizable energy (ME).

For Ross broilers, Aviagen currently recommends 2,975 kcal/kg for a starter phase of 0 to 10 days of age. For Cobb 500 broiler, the current recommendation from Cobb is 2,900 kcal/kg for a starter phase of 0 to 12 days of age. There are many other genetic lines of broilers around the world, so please refer to the breeder recommendation of the broilers you are using to be more accurate.

The energy value of broiler starter diets can vary depending on the age of the chicken and the environmental conditions.
