    Isolation: Confining animals to a controlled environment

    Traffic control: Managing the flow of people, birds, and goods to and from the farm

    Sanitation: Cleaning and disinfecting equipment, materials, and people entering the farm

    Separation: Keeping high-risk animals and areas separate from low-risk animals and areas

    Predators and rodents: Keeping rodents and predators out of the farm

    Biosecurity covers food safety, zoonoses, the introduction of animal and plant diseases and pests, the introduction and release of living modified organisms (LMOs) and their products (e.g. genetically modified organisms or GMOs), and the introduction and management of invasive alien species.
