  • Protein: A steady supply of protein is essential for poultry. Protein meals, fats, and oils are all part of a chicken’s energy requirements.
  • Essential amino acids: Poultry can’t produce enough essential amino acids on their own, so they need to be supplemented.
  • Vitamins: Vitamins A and D are important for poultry. Vitamins help with growth, feathering, and leg development.
  • Minerals: Calcium and phosphorus are essential minerals for bone development and eggshell formation. Trace minerals like zinc, manganese, and copper are also important for egg production and quality.
  • Essential fatty acids: Poultry need a steady supply of essential fatty acids.
  • Water: Poultry need a steady supply of water.Protein: A steady supply of protein is essential for poultry. Protein meals, fats, and oils are all part of a chicken’s energy requirements.

We all know the six basic components of poultry nutrition: water, carbohydrates, fats, proteins, minerals, and vitamins. A diet that combines these elements in the proper proportions will sustain poultry’s normal breathing, eating, digestion, growth, reproduction, and egg production.

Birds have dietary needs for amino acids, energy (although not a nutrient per se), minerals, some fatty acids, vitamins, and WATER. These nutrients are needed by almost all living creatures in different forms and amounts. To formulate and adequate nutritional program for poultry it I imperative to following the nutritional recommendations of the breeder.
