I am interpreting the question as to what is the best nutritional program for chickens? The answer is that program consistent of appropriate balanced diets and feeding phases throughout the life of a bird that will supply the daily amount of nutrients that the bird needs for maintenance and productive purposes such as growth for meat and laying eggs. The bases of a good nutrition program are normally indicated by the breeder company. Some adjustments will be needed depending on the management, growth velocity, pathogenic and environmental challenged experience by the birds as well as the desired harvest weight and intended use of the carcass. We cannot simplified to the point of providing a “recipe” that will work great for all chickens in all farms.

The best nutrition for chickens depends on their age, purpose (egg-laying, meat production, or pets), and overall health. Here’s a general guide:
1. Starter Feed (0-6 weeks)
Protein: 18-24% (higher for meat breeds)
Type: Crumbled feed for easy digestion
Nutrients: Essential vitamins and minerals for early growth
2. Grower Feed (6-20 weeks)
Protein: 16-18%
Type: Pellets or crumbles
Nutrients: Balanced for steady growth without excessive fat
3. Layer Feed (20+ weeks for egg-laying hens)
Protein: 15-18%
Calcium: High (for strong eggshells)
Type: Pellets, crumbles, or mash
Nutrients: Vitamin D, phosphorus, and omega-3s help egg production
4. Broiler Feed (For meat chickens)
Protein: 18-22%
Type: Pellets or crumbles
Nutrients: Higher energy and fat content for rapid growth
