Poultry vaccines include Marek’s disease, Newcastle disease, infectious bronchitis, and fowl pox. The schedule for administering these vaccines depends on the age of the bird.

There are three types of vaccines used for ND: live lentogenic, live mesogenic and inactivated vaccines. Live lentogenic vaccines are usually derived from field viruses that have been shown to have low pathogenicity for poultry but produce an adequate immune response.
