Heat stress in poultry can be mitigated through proper ventilation, evaporative cooling (pad-and-fan systems), and adequate air speed to reduce house temperature. Providing cool, clean water at all times and supplementing electrolytes or vitamins (such as vitamin C) helps maintain hydration and balance. Reducing stocking density, feeding during cooler hours (early morning or evening), and improving house insulation also help minimize heat stress and maintain bird performance.

Withdrawing feed birds six hours before peak warm temperatures in the afternoon can lower the risk of heat stress. You can reintroduce the feed after peak temperatures have started to decline. Birds can then feed during night time hours when we expect cooler temperatures to occur.

To mitigate heat stress in poultry, focus on ventilation, water access, feed management, and environmental cooling, including providing shade, fans, and misting systems, and adjusting feed intake to peak temperatures.

To mitigate heat stress in poultry, you can improve ventilation, provide frozen treats, and use nutritional strategies.

To reduce heat stress in poultry, Supplementing drinking water with vitamins (A, D, E and B complex) can improve ventilation, provide shade, and adjust their diet.
