Good questions and responses
All questions and answers are good – remember the community is focused on “feed safety” and “bio-security”. Perhaps it might help to think in terms of risks/threats to feed safety. Those can be summarized as biological (bacteria, viruses, mold/fungus), chemical (toxins, residues) and physical (metal, stones, etc). They can be the result of: poor harvest conditions; poor post-harvest storage; improper manufacturing; poor post-production storage.
I have placed a PDF in the documents tab that should help explain and answer questions about animal food safety.
