Source of protein in animal feed mill, Including sunflower meal, plasma meal, blood meal, GNC.

- Soybean Meal: This is one of the most widely used protein sources in animal feed due to its high protein content and amino acid profile. It typically contains around 44-48% protein.
- Fish Meal: Rich in protein and omega-3 fatty acids, fish meal is another excellent source of protein for poultry and other livestock. It is often used to enhance the nutritional quality of feed
- Corn Gluten Meal: This byproduct of corn processing is high in protein (about 60%) and is often included in feed formulations.
- Peas and Legumes: These plant-derived proteins are increasingly being used as alternatives to conventional feedstuffs. They provide a good balance of protein and other nutrients.
- Single Cell Proteins (SCP): Derived from microorganisms like bacteria and yeast, SCP is gaining attention as a sustainable protein source for animal feeds.

Protein sources for animal feed include soybean meal, lentils, peas, nuts, insect meal, fish meal, and plant seeds.

With the exception of minerals, vitamins, fat/oil, medications, and some feed additives ALL other ingredients contribute protein and amino acids for poultry. Corn, wheat, barley, sorghum, triticale, and all other cereals contain protein and amino acids and have a substantial contribution to the formulation and the daily protein/amino acid intake of animals. There are lots of different ingredients that are high in protein/amino acid a content including soybean meal, canola meal, corn gluten feed, corn gluten meal, corn germ meal, peas, peanut meal, wheat germ meal, flaxseed meal, dried distillers grains with solubles from corn sorghum and other sources, cottonseed meal, rapeseed meal, safflower meal, camelina meal, copra meal, sunflower meal, meat and bone meal, fish meal, blood meal, plasma protein, feather meal, poultry byproduct meal, dried brewer’s yeast, dried torula yeast, and many more.
