I like the way you added comprehensive in your question Sir because biosecurity measures cannot never be too much. Using diverse strategies is even more effective than resorting to one or two measures. Based on my research and previous knowledge biosecurity measures you can use can be categorized into three, namely; 1. External measures: these include Controlling your feedmill perimeter using fence gate etc, vehicle movement in and out the feed mill, ensure all personnel are fully kitted with their protective clothing’s etc also inspect raw materials you receive and reject in cases of contaminated materials 2. Internal measures: Establishing regular sanitation and cleaning and disinfection schedules, pest contol and proper waste management. 3.documentation or record keeping. Developing a Biosecurity manual is key to achieving a safe and ecofriendly Feed mill. Anything you do in the feed mill that is not documented, It is as good as it didn’t happen. Record keeping is very important. IF IT IS NOT DOCUMENTED IT DID’NT HAPPEN. I hope this helps. Thank you.
