High inclusion of soybeans in poultry feed can lead to both positive and negative effects. While soybean meal provides essential amino acids and protein, its high levels can also introduce anti-nutritional factors that negatively impact poultry health and performance. Specifically, high inclusion of raw or poorly processed soybeans can cause issues like growth depression, poor feed efficiency, and pancreatic enlargement.

High inclusion of soybeans in poultry feed can lead to several negative effects, including reduced growth, poor feed efficiency, and increased pancreatic enlargement, especially when raw soybeans are used. Soybeans contain antinutritional factors like trypsin inhibitors, lectins, and saponins that can interfere with nutrient absorption and digestion,

High inclusion of soybean meal in poultry feed can be both beneficial and problematic, depending on how it’s handled.

Positive effects: High protein content 44 – 48%, balanced amino acids (especially lysine), good energy and fats source

Negative effects: Trypsin inhibitor interference, diarrhea or wet droppings, poor feed conversion ratio, kidney or liver stress, low palatability, nutrients imbalance
