During heat peak hours, feed withdrawal may be implemented and feed may be offered during the cooler hours of the day or during the night along with artificial lighting. During hot weather, make sure that birds have plenty of cool drinking water to birds. The temperature of the drinking water should be between 10 and 15oC and for sure below 24oC during the hot hours of the day. Drinking water temperature at or above 35oC will likely results in reduced water intake or refusal to drink. Also ensure proper ventilation of the birds during the hot hours to keep them comfortable.
