    The answer is relative and it’s dependent on factors such as Strain/Breed, Management, Nutrition etc.

    When the birds are good and properly managed, they can continue to lay for years, the older they get, the bigger the eggs but the smaller the quantity laid.

    Commercial layers to be specific can lay eggs for more than one and half years and up to 3 years or more depending on the breed of birds.
