Laying birds feeding is usually at interval, typically 2 to 3 times per day, depending on the farm management system and feeding program. But must farms that have seen feed morning and evening.
Morning Feeding:
Usually done early (around 6–7 AM) to stimulate feed intake after the night fast.
Evening Feeding:
Scheduled before sunset (around 4–5 PM)

Thanks for practicable and resourceful information.

It depends upon the stage of the bird.
During Growing Period, it should be offered all the time in the feeding trough.
During Laying Phase it also mostly depends upon urge of the birds and feed cleanup time.

The recommended feeding interval for caged laying birds is usually twice a day, providing a balanced diet consistently to ensure steady egg production and bird health.
-
Twice a day is most commonly in sub sahara region. Many producers prefer early morning feeding to stimulate feed intake before peak egg production.

The recommended feeding interval for caged laying hens typically follows these guidelines:
1. Frequency
- Two to Three Times Daily: Most producers feed laying hens either twice or three times a day. This helps ensure that the birds have consistent access to fresh feed.
2. Amount Per Feeding
- Ad Libitum Feeding: In many systems, hens are allowed to eat ad libitum (free access) so they can consume feed as needed throughout the day.
- Portion Control: If feeding in fixed portions, ensure that the amount provided meets their nutritional requirements without leading to excess waste.
3. Timing
- Consistent Schedule: Feed at the same times each day to establish a routine, which can help reduce stress and optimize laying performance.
- Early Morning Feeding: Many producers prefer early morning feeding to stimulate feed intake before peak egg production times.
4. Considerations
- Age and Production Stage: Adjust feeding intervals based on the age of the hens and their production stage (e.g., pullets vs. older layers).
- Environmental Factors: Monitor environmental conditions, as high temperatures may affect feed intake and thus may require adjustments in feeding practices.
Conclusion
A feeding schedule of two to three times daily, with consistent timing and access to fresh feed, is generally recommended for caged laying birds to optimize their health and egg production.
