Managing molt in laying hens involves inducing a temporary cessation of egg production to allow for feather replacement and reproductive system recovery, ultimately leading to improved egg production and quality in the subsequent laying cycle. This is typically achieved through either feed withdrawal (forced molt) or dietary modifications (non-fasting molt), with the goal of prompting a molt and then supporting the hens during their recovery and re-laying phase.
