Flocks should be assessed for signs of disease daily, with a dedicated time set aside each day for observation. Early detection is crucial for effective disease management, as it allows for prompt intervention and potentially reduces the spread and severity of illness.

Flocks should be assessed daily for signs of disease. Regular observation allows for early detection of symptoms such as changes in behavior, droppings, feed/water intake, or physical appearance. Early detection ensures timely treatment, minimizes losses and helps prevent disease spread within the flock.

Flocks should be assessed daily for signs of disease that may require medication, with a written flock health program including vaccination and medication protocols established with a veterinarian. This daily assessment should include checking for signs like high mortality, drop in egg production, reduced feed/water consumption, and other symptoms like “snicking”, swollen sinuses, lethargy, or diarrhea.

Missing an important visual signs of disease could be cost and can lead to high economic loss
