to evaluate the performance of flock,

    to ensure SOPs implementation,

to know the expense and income ultimately profit and loss.

to monitor the farm efficiency and ensure the honest financial matters

Record-keeping is essential for running a successful and profitable poultry farm.<source-footnote ng-version=”0.0.0-PLACEHOLDER” _nghost-ng-c61072028=””></source-footnote> It turns farming from guesswork into a data-driven business, helping you make informed decisions to improve performance and profitability.<sources-carousel-inline ng-version=”0.0.0-PLACEHOLDER” _nghost-ng-c502819688=””><source-inline-chips _ngcontent-ng-c502819688=”” _nghost-ng-c2631690858=””><source-inline-chip _ngcontent-ng-c2631690858=”” _nghost-ng-c3007595896=””></source-inline-chip></source-inline-chips></sources-carousel-inline>

    Here’s why it’s so important:

    1. 📈 Tracks Profitability and Manages Finances

Good records are the only way to know if your farm is actually making or losing money.<source-footnote ng-version=”0.0.0-PLACEHOLDER” _nghost-ng-c61072028=””></source-footnote><sources-carousel-inline ng-version=”0.0.0-PLACEHOLDER” _nghost-ng-c502819688=””><source-inline-chips _ngcontent-ng-c502819688=”” _nghost-ng-c2631690858=””><source-inline-chip _ngcontent-ng-c2631690858=”” _nghost-ng-c3007595896=””></source-inline-chip></source-inline-chips></sources-carousel-inline>

Yes sir. By extension, accurate record keeping in poultry farming helps to determine either to shutdown or expand it operation.

Also, it should be based on numbers of units operations e.g broiler unit, layers, unit, inventory unit, maintenance unit etc. This way, every items can be easily tracked. At the same time, performance evaluation using KPI; especially as listed by Bello Bashir, can be used to reinforce excellence in each unit.

Fortunately, technology has made these easier.

Lack of proper and accurate record keeping has made most poultry farms close down, even before they realized.

In short, record keeping sounds simple and insignificant; but success of prospective poultry business depends on it, to a large extent.
