Turning eggs during incubation is crucial to prevent the embryo from sticking to the shell membrane, ensure even heat distribution, promote nutrient absorption from the yolk and albumen, and help the embryo develop the correct posture for hatching, leading to healthier chicks and higher hatch rates by mimicking a mother hen’s care. Failure to turn can cause early death, malformations, and unhatched eggs.
