The focus of this module is to set up a basic formulation system to run as a Comparative formulation to explore the relative economic advantages of different SBM sources as well as an advanced topic on how to formulate an optimal solution to explore reduced-fat soybean products.

• Revise the basic module function
• Show how to run simultaneous formulas for comparison of the impact of different sources
• Demonstrate economic impacts of choice of SBM sources
• Set up the formulation system to not only create formulas but to buy beans, sell oil, and produce Soybean Oil Meal to find the optimal operational solution to the overall process

The last topic is very interesting. The combination of extrusion, de-hulling, oil extraction, and use of SBOM is gaining traction in the industry in South Asia

Instructor Bio

Mr. Matthew Clark is the owner of FeedGuys Resources Pte Ltd in Singapore, which specialises in feed formulation technology including both software implementation and management training around the feed formulation process. Matthew graduated from Wye College, University of London in 1980 and has worked in the SE Asian feed business since 1983. Matthew has been involved both in marketing feed additive products in the region as well as working on the Brill® Formulation program with many regional feed producers. Matthew’s experience includes working in three poultry integrators as a nutritionist and General Manager.

Matthew’s current activity under FeedGuys is to continue to offer training programs for nutritionists, purchasers and business managers on the application of optimisation software to improve the financial performance of both feed mills and poultry processors.
