Mr. Christian Carrillo
Head of Technology for SE Asia and Oceania, Buhler Group, Singapore
Mr. Christian Carrilalo is the Head of Technology for SEA and Oceania at Buhler, with more than a decade of experience developing impactful manufacturing processes for the food industry. He currently leads the Protein Innovation Centre in Singapore, where he develops R&D roadmaps for Bühler's emerging technologies. He also leads the teams designing the different food and feed manufacturing processes for Buhler's industrial solutions.
Christian began his education in Switzerland, where he specialized in designing grain processing plants. With this specialization, he has been stationed in various Bühler offices worldwide. Since then, he has played a key role in scaling up Bühler's technology footprint in alternative proteins, particularly in the segment of meat analogue production. He is a strong enthusiast of creating novel solutions within the industry to reduce CO2 emissions. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, which complements his experimentation of creating new plant-based product recipes.
