Speaker Bio
Dr. Daranee Seguin is a highly experienced aquaculture professional with a strong background in aquaculture nutrition and feed optimization. She holds a PhD in Aquaculture Nutrition from Auburn University and has over 16 years of experience in the aquaculture industry. Her expertise lies in developing nutritionally balanced, environmentally sound, and cost-effective diets for commercial farming of fish and shrimp, with a particular focus on Pacific white shrimp.
Throughout her career, Dr. Daranee has held various significant roles, including Aqua Nutrition and Formulation Specialist, Aqua Business Unit Director for Southeast Asia at Phibro, and Regional Aqua Technical Expert at DSM. She has also worked as a Senior Nutritionist-Aqua and Nutritionist R&D-Aqua at Gold Coin Group. Her responsibilities have included developing and executing regional aqua strategies, providing technical expertise on aqua nutrition, and leading key business development and sales projects.
Dr. Daranee has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed articles and presented numerous conference papers at international meetings. Her work has significantly contributed to the development and application of soybean-based diets for Pacific white shrimp, aiming to reduce reliance on fish meal in aquaculture feeds. She is passionate about providing sustainable and health-focused solutions for aquaculture ecosystems and has a proven track record of improving feed performance and customer satisfaction through her technical expertise and innovative approaches.
