Because rock-derived calcium phosphates are non-renewable sources of P, whereas use of bone-derived calcium phosphates can be considered as nutrient cycling, the use of bone-derived calcium phosphates such as DCP and TCP in formulation of non-ruminant feeds can contribute to sustainable production of non-ruminant

One important difference is the phosphorus content in DCP which is far higher than that in bone meal.
Thanks

However, I believe DCP is safer and easily digested than bone meal which is derived from both healthy and unhealthy animal

If the bone meal are well processed there will be no effect on humans when consumed. It is of necessity that any feed given to livestock effect on human must duly be considered.

But you did not talk about the DCP again. Is it safe all round?
