Magnum or ampulla
Its function is to add approximately 40% of the albumen to the developing egg that takes about three hours to move through. These percentages vary considerably depending on quite a few factors including the genetics of the hen, age of the bird, the egg’s age and/or storage conditions.

That’s the location where the albumen is secreted during the process of egg formation. The process takes about 3 hours before the egg moves to the next stage(isthmus).
