Brooding – refers to the period immediately after hatch when special care and attention must be given to chicks to ensure their health and survival

feeding routine is well described by the breed company in his Manual.

it depends upon type of bird (layer, broiler, breeder), breeds (cobb, hubbard, ross, hyline, bovan, RIR, Fayoumi etc) light or heavy breed , age of birds, laying or non laying.

in layer there is start of feeding foe example 12 gram 1 week then increase 2 gram per week per bird and stop at 100-110 gram as per breed.

in broiler you give ad libitum feed first 7 days then increase 4.5 gram per day till marketing of the birds. there is no limit for broiler.

but there is also a limit of feed in breeder.
