The feed conversion ratio is derived mathematically as feed intake divided by weight gain. It is an important parameter in poultry production as it justifies the input to output. Feed conversion ratio can be improved through the following:
– Maintaining good flock health
– Reducing feed wastage to the bearest minimum
– Access to cool and clean water adlibitum
– Feeding fresh feed free from contaminations

thanks!
In addition, one crucial measure of efficiency is the Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR), which <b style=”font-size: inherit; color: var(–bb-body-text-color);”>quantifies how effectively animals convert feed into body weight gain or product output.

Before now it was 2:1 i.e 2kg of feed to get 1kg of body weight. I don’t think it’s still applicable now

THANK YOU FOR SHARING. WHAT WE SELL IN BROILER PRODUCTION IS FCR AND THE EARLIER BROILER FARMERS REALISES THAT THE BETTER FOR THEM.

FCR – The feed used for producing 1 kg of meat (Conversion of feed to meat)
