One kilogram of organic matter in chicken manure is estimated to produce around 0.5 m of biogas containing about 58% methane.
According to a commonly used biogas handbook, the methane yield for chicken manure falls within the range of 200–360 mL/g volatile solids. It is said the biogas yield from pig manure is even more than that of chicken.

All the two are factors that hinder the realization of these lucrative business especially in Nigeria.

We need training and retraining on this field in order to venture into it. It would require specialized equipment too.

I think about this too. Probably due to cost and sustainability issues
