Implementing effective biosecurity measures is crucial for maintaining the health and productivity of poultry flocks. Here are some of the best practices:

    1. Control Access: Limit visitors to the farm and ensure they follow strict hygiene protocols. Restrict access to poultry houses and equipment.

    2. Hygiene Protocols: Maintain clean surroundings, regularly clean and disinfect equipment, and ensure proper waste management.

    3. Rodent and Insect Control: Implement effective pest control programs to minimize the risk of disease spread.

    4. Separate Living Areas: Keep poultry separate from wild birds and household pets.

    5. Vaccination Programs: Follow a regular vaccination schedule to protect against common poultry diseases.

    6. Early Detection and Response: Monitor flock health closely and respond promptly to any signs of illness.

    7. Proper Mortality Management: Collect and dispose of dead birds daily to prevent the spread of disease.

    8. Training and Education: Ensure that all farm staff are trained in biosecurity measures and understand their importance.

Also mind you that our poultry farms are not tourists center’s .Visitors should be limited and prevented from coming into contact with other birds. Visitors should also wear protective clothing and shoes, and be sanitized.
