Coccidiosis can typically be detected in a broiler flock as early as 4 days after infection, when oocysts—the infectious stage of Eimeria parasites—first appear in the feces and can be identified by laboratory examination or on-site testing. The disease course is rapid, with each parasite cycle lasting about 4–7 days.
Clinical signs and visible lesions in the flock usually start appearing at 5–7 days post-infection, but practical, noticeable problems like watery feces, ruffled feathers, reduced feed intake, and poor flock performance often emerge around 21–28 days of age in commercial settings, coinciding with peak risk periods and environmental oocyst buildup.

Days 10-21 are most commonly observed. Mostly due to poor managment.

Coccidiosis in broilers can be detected as early as 3 to 7 days after exposure. Birds can get exposed to the causative agent (Eimeria) at any stage.
That’s why management must be taken serious.

2-3 weeks, some poultry farmers have been able to detect it earlier.

Coccidiosis, a common parasitic disease in broiler chickens, can be detected as early as 4 to 8 days after initial infection,

A friend of mine detected it at day 5, though his management was bad

Coccidiosis is best detected in the farm when chicks are 10-15 days old. Though, earlier detection at 7days old has been experienced.

A drop in maternally derived immunity by 3 weeks coupled with changes in feed, all make the bird highly susceptible to coccidia infection. This time frame coincides with high load of oocyst shedding highest during 3 weeks of age. Hence first signs are usually noticed in the 3rd week of rearing. However, coccidia cases have been identified as early as 2 weeks as well.

Coccidiosis detection in birds sometimes starts at 7 days old depending on the hatchery.

Coccidiosis in broiler flocks can typically be detected within 21-28 days after the infection begins, with symptoms becoming noticeable around 3-4 weeks. However, the infection can spread rapidly within a flock, often within a week of initial exposure. Some studies suggest that coccidiosis outbreaks in broilers are commonly reported in chickens over 3 weeks of age.
