Coccidiosis can be treated with a variety of drugs, including decoquinate, amprolium, sulfaquinoxaline, and sulfonamides

The best measure is to prevent coccidiosis rather than treat it. Prevention reduces mortality, improves growth, and lowers costs. Key methods include:

    1. Keep litter dry – Prevent moisture buildup to stop parasite growth.

    2. Ensure biosecurity – Limit farm access, disinfect equipment, and separate age groups.

    3. Provide medicated feed – Use anticoccidial feeds for young birds.

    4. Support immunity – Supplement with vitamins A & K.

    5. Maintain good ventilation – Reduce humidity and overcrowding.

    6. Vaccinate early – Use live coccidiosis vaccines if necessary.

    7. Monitor regularly – Detect and isolate sick birds early.
