    Fiber (CF and NSP) modulates gut function and nutrient utilization: excess soluble NSP reduces digestibility via increased viscosity, while insoluble fiber supports gizzard activity. Thus, broiler diets limit fiber to optimize FCR, whereas layers tolerate higher fiber for gut health and stability.
