    The ideal temperature for storage of poultry serum samples depends on the intended duration:

    • Short-term storage (up to 1 week): Store serum at 2–8°C (refrigerator temperature). This allows transport or use within several days without significant degradation.

    • Long-term storage (more than 1 week): Store serum samples at -20°C or lower (recommended range: -10°C to -40°C) for preservation over weeks to months or longer. This prevents degradation of antibodies and analytes needed for accurate testing and serology.

    The ideal temperature for storing poultry serum samples depends on how long you intend to store them:

    1. <strong data-start=”106″ data-end=”144″>Short-term storage (up to 1 week):

      <ul data-start=”150″ data-end=”212″>

    2. Store at <strong data-start=”161″ data-end=”175″>2°C to 8°C (standard refrigerator temperature).

    3. <strong data-start=”217″ data-end=”258″>Long-term storage (more than 1 week):

      <ul data-start=”264″ data-end=”358″>

    4. Store at <strong data-start=”275″ data-end=”284″>-20°C or preferably <strong data-start=”299″ data-end=”308″>-80°C for best preservation of antibodies and proteins.

    For short-term storage (up to a week), maintain samples between 4 degrees C and 8 degrees C. For longer term storage, -20 degrees C

    Short term is up to 1 week

    Ideally serum samples should be stored only for short periods so they don’t get infected. That makes refrigerating the best way to store them. This is at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius.

    For longer storage, the samples should be frozen and -21 degrees Celsius
