Dilution is method mostly feed mills adopt to prevent financial loss.
Reprocessing a small amount of feed quality adding in Batching in case of aflatoxin or fungal related issue.
Biological contamination is highly risky to dilute , so burning in Boiler is better option to adopt.

Ideally Composting or Burial is preferred, incase of feed hazards incineration is the terminal choice

Disposal procedures are highly dependent on the type of contaminant. A feed or ingredient contaminated with Salmonella will be handled very different than an ingredient high in mycotoxin, or a heavy metal, or another compound. In some cases, “dilution” of the contaminated feed could be an option to bring the levels of the contaminant below permissible levels. In other cases composting, burial, or incineration may be needed according to local and governmental procedures.

Jeffery has given an excellent response – in certain cases dilution can be used; for example you made a feed with too much of a minor/micro ingredient so you use a portion of that feed as an ingredient in further production of the feed thereby diluting the ‘problem’.

Here are best practices for disposing of contaminated feed and feed ingredients:
Segregation and Isolation
1. *Separate Contaminated Feed*: Segregate contaminated feed and feed ingredients from clean materials.
2. *Isolate Contaminated Areas*: Isolate areas where contaminated feed is stored
Disposal method: Landfill disposal, incineration.
