Nowadays CV less than 5 % is achieved in many feed mills in India

Assess mixer efficiency by testing feed uniformity using tracers, calculating the Coefficient of Variation (CV < 10%), inspecting for even texture, and ensuring proper mixing time and maintenance.<div>

This is a great question and the answers are correct; we normally use coefficient of variation to quantify mixing homogeneity. However, this question is should be asked in the Feed Mill Interest Group.

CV measures the uniformity of mixing by calculating the standard deviation of the concentration of a tracer or specific nutrient in the feed samples, expressed as a percentage of the mean concentration.

Coefficient of variation CV of less than 10% is considered excellent.

The efficiency of a poultry feed mixer can be assessed by measuring the coefficient of variation (CV) and other parameters. The CV is a statistical measure of how uniform the mix is
