    Fatty liver disease (hepatic steatosis) is mainly caused by excess fat buildup from heavy alcohol use (Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease – ALD) or metabolic issues like obesity, Type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol/triglycerides, and metabolic syndrome (Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease – MASLD)
