Feed conversion ratio is the measure of how feed intake is converted to live weight. Broiler chickens have good food conversion ratio.

I am not sure we can compare layers and broilers FCR because they are different chicken strains reared for different purposes.

Is it for broiler or layers, because poultry birds are many and they have their different conversion ratio

Exact question. I think the broiler breeders (Parents) also having good FCR like broiler birds. But we are giving the restricted feeding to them becos of the purpose of Hatching egg production.
For commercial layer parents – the FCR will be less comparing the broiler parents, bcos the purpose is for more number of table eggs production
