A typical feed mixer consists of a mixing drum or trough, agitator shafts with mixing blades (often double-shaft with ribbon-like blades), motor and gearbox, feed inlet and discharge points, hopper or feed delivery system, frame or housing, and a control panel which may include features to adjust mixing time and speed; depending on the design, additional components like a scale or weighing system might be included.
