    I think the guidelines are given by the Nigeria institute of animal Science for feed millers in Nigeria. That’s why they visit feed Mills across the country regularly.

    Your explanation of FSMS succinctly captures its vital role in safeguarding the feed-to-food continuum! By prioritizing hazard control and regulatory alignment, FSMS not only protects animal welfare but also strengthens consumer trust in the food supply. The flexibility to pursue certification (e.g., ISO 22000, GMP+) adds strategic value, allowing companies to meet market demands while mitigating risks. Well-articulated—this proactive framework is indeed foundational for modern, responsible feed production.

    Are there regulatory bodies for feeds manufactured in Nigeria, if they are do they function at all?

      In addition, we have:

      NIAS – The Nigerian Institute of Animal Science;

      Animal Science Association of Nigeria.

      In the last 2-3 years, we have FIPAN – Feed producer Association of Nigeria
