    LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) es un procedimiento de seguridad industrial vital para el control de energías peligrosas durante el mantenimiento o reparación de maquinaria.

    Su objetivo es evitar que un equipo se ponga en marcha accidentalmente o libere energía residual mientras alguien lo manipula. Se resume en dos acciones:

    <ul type=”disc”>

    debe operarse.

    In a feed mill, LOTO stands for Lockout/Tagout, a critical safety procedure designed to prevent accidental injury or death during equipment maintenance or servicing. It involves physically isolating machinery from all energy sources and placing a lock and warning tag to ensure it cannot be operated until the work is complete.

    LOTO stands for Lockout-Tagout. It is a critical safety procedure used in feed mills and industrial environments to ensure that dangerous machines are properly shut off and cannot be restarted before the completion of maintenance or repair work.

    Lockout: Physically locking the energy-isolating device (e.g., a breaker or valve) in the “off” position using a padlock.

    Tagout: Attaching a prominent warning tag to the lock containing the name of the authorized person and the reason for the shutdown.

    The Goal: To prevent the unexpected energization or release of stored energy (electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic) that could cause severe injury or death to workers.
