During hot days, the best times to feed poultry are in the early morning and late afternoon or evening, when temperatures are cooler. This helps to minimize heat stress on the birds, which can reduce their appetite and overall feed intake during the peak heat of the day.

During very hot weather, it’s generally best to feed your baby in the early morning, late evening, or during the night when the temperature is cooler

In hot weather, feeding early in the morning and again in the evening helps maintain good feed intake, supports health, and keeps production levels stable.

If it’s broiler production, I recommend providing the birds with the total daily feed around 9 p.m., provided there’s stable power supply. This allows them to feed during the cooler night hours and helps reduce the effects of heat stress. By the time the weather becomes harsh the next day, they should have consumed most of the feed, leaving little to be eaten during the hottest hours.
