1. Temperature Regulation: Use ventilation systems (fans, open sides, vents) to improve airflow. Install shade nets or trees around the pen to reduce radiant heat. Sprinkle or mist water (evaporative cooling) on roofs or surroundings during peak heat.
2. Proper Housing Practices: Avoid overcrowding—birds need space to breathe and spread wings. Use light-colored roofing or reflective materials to reduce heat absorption. House birds in elevated structures to allow air circulation below the floor.
3. Feeding and Water Management: Feed birds during cooler hours (early morning or late evening) to reduce metabolic heat. Ensure cool, clean drinking water is available 24/7. Add electrolytes and vitamins (especially vitamin C) to drinking water to reduce heat stress.
4. Health Monitoring: Watch for signs of heat stress: panting, lethargy, spread wings, or reduced feed intake. Avoid unnecessary handling or vaccination during peak heat hours.
5. Lighting and Activity Control: Reduce artificial lighting intensity during hot hours to keep birds calm. Limit stressful activities like catching, transporting, or loud noise during the day.
6. Record Keeping and Adjustments: Track temperature trends and bird behavior. Adjust management strategies (e.g., increase water points, reduce stocking density) based on real-time observations.

I think it will help in mitigating the harmful effects that heat wave pose to the birds.
