Hot temperatures accelerate mold growth and spoilage in stored feeds by increasing the rate of microbial activity, particularly mold and fungal growth. Higher temperatures also contribute to moisture migration within the feed, creating localized areas of high moisture that favor mold development. Additionally, heat can degrade nutrients and promote fat oxidation, further contributing to spoilage.
