What is the best orientation for poultry houses in hot environments?

The ideal orientation of a rectangular poultry house along the Equator will be east-to-west. However, slight orientation variations may be needed to adjust for different longitudes around the world. The objective of the east-to-west orientation is to minimize direct exposure of birds to the sun during the day, see attached figure.
