When mixing feed in a feedmill, key parameters to follow include: adding large-volume ingredients first, then smaller volumes, ensuring liquids are added after all dry ingredients are mixed, maintaining proper mixing time based on the formula composition, regularly checking mixer calibration, monitoring ingredient particle size and density, and consistently following the correct ingredient addition sequence to achieve a homogenous mix; all while considering factors like mixer design, cleanliness, and potential static charge issues.
