PELLET QUALITY
PELLET QUALITY STARTS IN GRINDING
Many pellet quality problems do not begin at the pellet mill.
Raw material particle size directly affects:
conditioning efficiency
steam absorption
compression behavior
pellet durability
production stability
If particle size is too coarse, conditioning becomes less effective.
If particle size distribution is uneven, pelleting often becomes unstable.
In many cases, issues are first blamed on the pellet mill, ring die, or roller shell – but the real cause starts earlier, in grinding.
Stable pelleting is not about one machine.
It is about process control.
Have you ever found a pellet problem that actually came from grinding?
