Gentlely lifting chicken with both hands, after slowly handling. There shouldn’t be tying of robe to any of the chicken’s parts.

lift, carry or drag poultry by the head, neck, wing or tail. tie or bind poultry by the neck, leg or wing. use only one hand when catching, lifting and carrying poultry. You should always use both hands to support the bird.

Approach the chicken slowly and quietly and place your hands either side of its body, holding the wings so they do not flap. Lift the chicken and hold it against your body so it feels secure.
