Proper temperature management during brooding is crucial for chick survival, immunity, and growth.
Day 1: 32 – 34 degree C
Day 2 – 7: Gradually reduce by 0.5 – 1 degree C per day
By the end of the first week, the temperature should be around 30 degree C (86 degree F)

The recommended temperature range for a brooding house during the first week is 93°F to 95°F
-
For the first week of brooding, maintain a temperature range of 90 to 95°F (32 to 35°C), with the warmest area being near the heat source, and gradually reduce the temperature by 5°F (3°C) each week.
-
Temperature between 30⁰c and 36⁰c is optimum in the first week. Above this, will cause heat stress.
-
The first week of brooding, the recommended temperature range for a chicken house is typically 30°C to 32°C measured at the edge of the heat source where the chicks gather.
-
Normally, we aim for an air temperature of 30oC for the whole house and 32oC at the edge of the brooder for spot brooding.
