Broiler chickens require 0.78% to 1.16% of dietary calcium, depending on their age and growth phase.

The calcium needs of broilers change quickly after hatching. As important as the level of calcium in the level of available phosphorus in the diet. Calcium and phosphorus are two minerals which absorption and metabolism are highly related. Normally the ratio of calcium to phosphorus in broiler diets is around 1.9 with a range of 1.66 to 2.08 depending on the age of the broiler and genetic makeup. Please refer to the nutrient recommendations of the commercial breed you are using to obtain specific details.
