It must contain energy and protein sources in the right proportion, highly digestible, fresh, palatable,toxin free.

A good poultry feed should be balanced in nutrients, highly digestible, free from contaminants, appropriately formulated for the bird’s age and purpose, and made from high-quality, non-adulterated ingredients.

Good poultry feed is balanced, fresh, safe, and digestible, and it contains the nutrients poultry need.

A good poultry feed should provide the digestible nutrients that a bird needs on a daily basis for efficient productive traits like growth and laying eggs. It needs to contain ingredients of good quality, free of chemical, microbiological, and physical contaminants, it needs to be homogenous (i.e., good mixing), and palatable to birds.

There are 6 basic nutrients which chicken needs protein, carbohydrates, fats appropriate amount vitamins and minerals, and water.

Chickens do not require protein, they have a nutritional need for digestible amino acids!
