Misshapen eggs are generally caused by stress, nutritional deficiencies (low calcium), or the age of the hen (very young or old).
These abnormalities occur when the shell gland is immature, diseased,
or disrupted, often resulting in wrinkled, dented, or elongated eggs due
to shell pressure or abnormal shell formation.

Misshapen eggs can result from various factors, including nutritional deficiencies, particularly in calcium and protein, affecting the hen’s egg-laying process. Stress from environmental conditions, such as inadequate lighting or extreme temperatures, can also lead to abnormalities in egg shape. Additionally, age and genetic factors of the hens play a role in the consistency and quality of egg production.
