Due to cost of feed, keeping broiler for up to 8 weeks can cost more than N500,000. for 100 birds in Nigeria. But for 37days will be around that is 5 weeks 2 days, will be around that 420,000 to 450,000.
Factoring cost of feed at N930. per Kg, and Day-Old broiler chick at N1000. and other cost energy, labor, water and medication.

In Nigeria, the majority of the costs are capital costs, meaning that these costs shall not be incurred in subsequent production.
In total, you need at least ₦418,060 to rear 100 broiler chicks for 8 weeks. It could be slightly more. You do not need all this cash at once to start a broiler farm, maybe you even need a quarter to start, then it is a pay as you go thing.

It’s not advisable to raise broilers for 8 weeks above if someone wants to make profits.
