Vaccination schedule is really important as it prevents various kinds of diseases in birds.
-
Vaccination schedule is to be made based on the existing diseases regularly prevalent among the specific region. Hatchery vaccination among DOC broiler chicks is gaining prominence
-
I think vaccine schedule is depend on the region, most common diseases etc.
In Sri Lanka we vaccinate layers for Ranikhet( new castle disease), Infectious bursal disease, fowl fox mainly in the field.
-
That great, but my question is this program of vaccination applicable to all locations
-
For commercial broiler farms, vaccination should be based strictly on sero-monitoring.
-
A typical vaccination schedule for broiler birds in Shabujbagh, Dhaka, on February 18, 2025, might include in ovo vaccination for Marek’s disease, and vaccinations for Infectious Bursal Disease (IBD) and Newcastle disease, often administered via drinking water or spray.
